2006-Ford Expedition- A Whole New Way to Travel

The 2006 Ford Expedition is a full-size SUV segment with a combination of interior versatility and adaptability, driving control, and, of course, safety. In two years in a row, it has continuously won the Polk Automotive Loyalty Award in its own segment.

Ford Motor Company first introduced the Ford Expedition in the year 1996. It was introduced as a rival to the Chevrolet Tahoe and GMC Yukon, which were full-size SUVs. The Ford Expedition surely has evolved through the years and it was in the year 2003 when it received a major redesign that integrated an independent rear suspension that even the 2006 Tahoe and Yukon avoided. The 2006 Ford Expedition is a capable truck, with decent power, plenty of room, and includes lots of safety features.

Its features are leaders and milestone breakers in its class. And these features include fold-flat-to-the-floor second- and third-row seating, class-exclusive PowerFold™ third-row seat, second-row CenterSlide™ section, heated and cooled front seats, keyless entry pad, AdvanceTrac® with Roll Stability Control™, Safety Canopy™ system, reverse sensing system and power-adjustable pedals. The 2006 Ford Expedition also has 110.5 cubic feet of cargo volume, which is the most hip room in all three rows and most third-row legroom, making it the best offer for the best-in-class interior space. Another highlight of this vehicle is that it also offers independent rear suspension for improved ride and handling which is the first for an SUV in its class. For this vehicle, two new exterior colors are offered: pewter clearcoat metallic, and dark copper clearcoat metallic. A medium flint grey interior has also been added to this series.

Auto Parts Corner gives owners a great collection of 2006 Ford Expedition replacement parts like bumpers, spoilers, wheels, header panels, headlights, hoods, and radiator support. Unlike other online stores, Auto Parts corner gives each and every client excellent customer service and the finest quality 2006 Ford Expedition parts that only a Ford deserves.

Pimp Your Ride with Bling Bling Rims.

It is the trend now. Everywhere you see, the Homeboys are pimping their ride. Whether an old Grand Marquis /Crown Victoria or a new Trans-am, Honda Civic or a Cadillac Escalade, they are all rolled out with Hugh chrome Bling Bling Rims.
They like to cruise around and show them off. The rims even cost more than that old beat up car.
On the Road today, I saw one with a 23 or 24 inches rims and look at that Avalanche or Escalade, bright pink paint job on some 22 inches rims.
That's the way, we like to pimp our old junk cars.

1979 Pontiac Trans AM

Another great car that I saw at the Tallahassee Automobile Museum is muscle car,
a 1979 Pontiac Trans Am SE.The 1979 Firebird was re-designed with new graphics and a front nose with quad rectangular headlamps that stood in seperate bezels with a new grille below them. The rear end also got a make-over and featured blackout panels that disguised the taillights on Formula and Trans Am models.

Note: Another record setting year for the Trans Am and it's sales and a special silver 10th Anniversary edition Trans Am was sold in what would be the last year for the Pontiac 400 engine.
This car is refer as the Bandit, made famous by the movie Smokey and the Bandit, by Burt Reynolds. This is the fastest factory car Pontiac Car ever produced.
Fully restored, this car is painted black, with a gold firebird on the hood. And it has only 10 actual miles driven.

The Mini Concept

I was always amazed though not in love with this cute little car. The Mini Cooper. I like to drive or sit in one but not so much as to own one.Remembered almost 30 years ago, I knew this guy who drove in one. That car was small but drove fast and furious. Even since I love to see a Mini. And few years back I was excited to see the new version when they brought it back.

Mini Showcases Stretched Mini Cooper Concept!!

BMW owned Mini Company, which manufactures the little, fashion icon car Mini Cooper have displayed a new concept based on the small car. This new concept vehicle is based on an extended version of the same Mini Cooper and it was showcased at the ongoing Frankfurt Motor Show on Monday. They call this concept car Mini Concept Frankfurt and it still retains the two doors, which are so popular on the regular version of the car.

However, the new long doors make it easier for the passengers to get into the rear seats of the car. Mini says that they were inspired by the Morris Mini Traveler to develop this version. At the back of the car, the rear doors are hinged on the sides and open out and both the doors hang on special “intelligent” hinges that minimize the amount of space needed to open them.

Inside this concept vehicle, seats are mounted in a way that they appear to float above the floor of the car making it look like a spacious car. This version of the car was developed by the company to make loading and entering the car as simple and convenient as possible for the riders in the car. This version uses a supercharged MINI Cooper S engine making it a fun car to ride.

Bling Bling Rims

My topic today is not about vintage cars. I have been driving around and noticed the cars that young guys here in the South driving. They loved those Buick Boxcar, Crown Victoria and maybe some old Impalas. Some of them will go all the way to make their cars look impressive. I saw one Crown Victoria painted Green with John Deer Logo.
One has M&M candies all over, and one has the WalMart's Smiley Face. Most have bright mettalic paint on them.
Another thing you will notice on these cars is these guys they like to spend their money on those Bling Bling Rims or Chrome Rims. Not Cheap, each rim cost between 300 to 600 dollars. Sometimes the Rims cost more than their cars. Is this the way they show their status?
The rims used to start with 18 ", then came the 20",22",24" and now they have like 30". What is it with those big rims? And how are they going to maneuver their cars?
Guess modern driving is a lot different from Grandpa's driving.

Duesenberg Model J

As you walk in to the showroom, you will noticed this red gigantic car, real old but well restored. This is a 1931 Duesenberg,Model J, Double Cow Phaeton. The model 360 J was built between 1929-1931.And the based price was $9500.
In 1937, the company went out of business after the 480 Model J was built.
This car has 8 cylinder inlay,double overhead cam,32 valve,4 1/2 cubic inch, 265 horsepower,Transmission 3 forward and 1 reverse.
This car is so high and so long, I wonder how they manage to drive this. However this is a great masterpiece.
The Duesenberg is on display at the Tallahassee Automobile Museum in Tallahassee ,Florida.A great place to visit if you are in Florida.

BatMobile

When you walk in to the display room, you will notice a very odd shape looking car.Something from the future or the past. Painted all black and you find mannequins of Batman and Bat lady standing on the side. This is the Original Bat mobile that was featured in the movie"Batman Forever. Staring Val Kilmar as Batman and Nicole Kidman. Very well built, with Bat wings and Batman's Logo on the rims. This car can travel fast.A two seater with open roof is very well engineered.
You can only find this special invention at the Tallahassee Automobile Museum in Tallahassee, Florida.

The Amphicar- Germany

Have you seen the first Amphicar? This cute little car was built in Germany , on the Europe market between 1961-1965. It is convertible and it's unique features are you can drive it as a car on land, and when you go to the beach, you can use it as a boat,it is made to drive on water.Pretty cool. I wonder why they are not making more of this, so when you want to go out to the waters , you do not have to pull your boat along. How much will the insurance quote be?
Painted pearly white, the front is shaped like a boat, the back has little bat wings, this cute little car is adorable. It is on display at the Tallahassee Automobile Museum,Florida.

A Vintage Chevrolet.

Driving down the road on Buena Vista Drive after my Saturday sale at the Flea Market, I noticed this Big White Vintage sitting in from of the Andrea's Club.I turned around to get a better view. Indeed , this is not a Ford , but an Old
Grandpa's Chevrolet. I think in the 40-50's.
This car has a new coat of white paint, a brand new Chevrolet Tag, in front,a gold color Chevrolet Logo. Despite the big, wide body, the lights are small and round, and tiny turn signals. The side window glass has a crack, and the tag dated April 05.I guess this is not running, but a show car. Not perfectly rebuilt but still a piece of Chevrolet Vintage, located in Columbus,Georgia.
Look out for some upcoming really antique car!!!!

Want Exclusivity? Try The Lamborghini.

Do you want some class and exclusivity?
If you ask Lamborghini, one million euros ($1.4 million) should do it -- before tax, of course.

In a bid to add more prestige to what it already has, the Italian maker of super luxury sports car unveiled the Reventon at Frankfurt's international autoshow, a very limited edition car that looks more like an arrow than anything on four wheels.

With this price tag, it is the most expensive car that it has ever built.

Needless to say, Lamborghini has already sold the 20 cars that it plans to build.

"As soon as the word got out, we sold out in four days," Chief Executive Stephan Winkelmann told Reuters, adding that they could have easily sold another 20.

Most of the buyers were men from the United States, Lamborghini's biggest market, he said.

Some of them are already owners of a Lamborghini, which competes with the likes of Ferrari in speed and exclusivity.

"We have among our customers movie stars, sports stars... (but) the majority of our clients are businessmen. Men. Lovers of luxury goods," said Winkelmann.

True to its tradition of cultivating an aggressive image, Lamborghini named the car after a bull that killed matador Felix Guzman in 1943.

Although it is based on its Murcielago LP640 model, Lamborghini's engineers took inspiration from a fighter jet and reworked the composite carbon fiber body to accentuate the sleekness and angular edges usually associated with its cars.

The engine is the same as the LP640: a 12-cylinder rocket that can propel the car from zero to 100 km/h in 3.4 seconds.

By comparison, the coupe version of the LP640 costs a relatively more modest 219,600 euros.

Lamborghini, which is run by Volkswagen's (VOWG.DE) Audi division, will start making the Reventon in January and deliver them in October.

The car, which came in an opaque gray at the autoshow, has a three-year warranty.Engine

Vintage Vehicle

This morning, I was having a craving for my daily dose of coffee,so I decided to go to Burger King for some breakfast. As I drove in to the parking lot, a bright red car caught my eyes. I saw thes vintage car, sitting beautifully on the lot.

After I got my breakfast, I took my digital camera and snapped me a couple of photos. I could not find the owner, so I did not get more info on this vintage car. I lookede at some car's magazine to check it out. This looks like a vintage Ford of the 30's. I think it is a Roadster.

It has bright red paint job and fully restored.

Anyone know what year this Ford is?

Vintage Vehicle

My first display of vintage vehicle is a 1966 Ford F100(Twin I Beam). This truck is fully restored , painted lite teal green with white trimming on the front grill and top.And look at the tag in front, it is the first original tag.

This truck is owned by Mr Cliff Bennet, a counseler from Columbus,Georgia. It took him some time to restore this baby and he says he has a few more projects to restore more vintage vehicles.Great Job!!
